Blea Tarn

Blea Tarn lies between Little Langdale and Great Langdale, in the Lake District. Blea Tarn is one of the easiest to visit. There is a car park on the Little Langdale to Great Langdale road. It has a backdrop of the Langdale Pikes. The car park is a good starting point for a short circular walk around the tarn.

The sediment in the bed of Blea Tarn has not been disturbed since the last Ice Age. It is now a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. The tarn is home to brown trout, perch and pike.
