Cathedral Quarry
A disused slate quarry that is every bit as impressive as a natural cave as it's industrial past crumbles and the place returns to nature. National Trust managed Cathedral Quarry is open to the public, who are informed they are entering at their own risk. Favoured by rock climbers the quarry and tunnels are accessible but there are risks of rock falls and the ground is rock strewn and sometimes quite wet underfoot. A torch is essential to get the most from your visit.
