Chorley Lodge

Grade II listed gate lodge, early 19th Century, built in a Greek Revival style. Ashlar, slate roof with chimney on rear gable. Single storey to drive in T-plan, a projecting temple front containing Greek Doric columns distyle in antis; pilastered corners; plain frieze and cornice carries round building. Shouldered architraves to openings. Arms of Standish carved in tympanum.
The old gatehouse for Duxbury Park, now in a ruinous state with the roof fallen in. There is a relatively modern blockwork extension to the rear also ruined.
