Billinge Hill (Wigan)

Billinge Hill or Billinge Lump is the highest point in Merseyside with views out to Liverpool and over the Mersey estuary, over Fiddler's Ferry to the Clwydian Range and Wales beyond on one side and views across to Winter Hill and the West Pennine Moors to the other.
The square building at the summit is known as Billinge Beacon and was perhaps the site of an old beacon fire.
